INTRODUCTION:

The Department of Mathematics is one of the oldest Department in the University. Presently department conducts BS (4 years), BS (5 Semester) (Morning/ Evening), M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes. In view of the usefulness and importance of computers in almost every field of human activity, the department set up a computer center in 1982 for the benefit of university students, teachers and employees who desire to enhance their computational capabilities. A large section of people employed in various national organizations where computers are being used also benefit from these courses. The computer languages and application package courses offered by the department are aimed at providing an opportunity to learn the basics of Information Technology as well as advanced technology skills currently in demand.
